ITALIAN CHEF WHO LIVES IN TURKEY AND WORKS AS
A CORPORATE CHEF OF THE DIVAN GROUP
Born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, an Italian island, I knew early on in life that food was my passion. Growing up I watched my mum avidly in the kitchen to learn all her secrets.
Soon Palermo became too small and I moved to Milan to experience work in fine-dining restaurants. In the mid-1990s, I moved to New York, Chicago, and LA where I worked as head chef in fine dining restaurants, catering to some famous actors as well as serious food lovers.
A phone call from the luxury hotel group Four Seasons made me move back to the old continent, to Istanbul, Turkey to assume the position of executive chef. I remained with the Four Seasons for almost a decade with stops in Cairo, Egypt and Beirut, Lebanon.
Since 2012 I live, cooked, and cycled in Istanbul again - but this time for a Turkish company - Divan Group - as a Corporate Chef. Also, I am passionate about road cycling.
