Chocolate Tarte



  • 200 g butter

  • 4 pc eggs

  • 200 g chocolate (min 70% Chocolate)

  • 200 g sugar

  • 2 tablesppons starch or flour

  • Chocolate powder for decoration 


  1. Lightly grease the springform pan with butter or use baking paper

  2. Melt the chocolate over a water bath (Bain Marie) and add the butter

  3. Separate the eggwhite from yolk. Beat the eggwhite until stiff.

  4. Beat the yolk and sugar creamy.  Add the chocolate/butter mix, add the starch or flour. Mix all to a smooth dough. Add the stiff eggwhite and mix slowly. Fill the mix into the springform pan.

  5. preheat oven at 180 C, bake for 25 - 30 minutes. the tarte will be moist. If you want it drier keep it in the oven for 40 - 45 minutes.

  6. Let it cool off before serving. Sprinkle chocolate powder on top. 


If you use starch instead of flour, the tarte will be glutenfree.
